Afghan Refugee Crisis
Each day, the number of Afghans seeking asylum in the United States increases. Some have fled their homes with no resources aside from the clothes on their backs, leaving behind homes, professions, and personal items because their safety was at risk. The Global Impact Initiative is working tirelessly with community members and other organizations to assist in the resettlement and stabilization of these individuals within our communities.

Many individuals resettling from Afghanistan are not English speakers. As a result, finding housing, employment, and meeting basic needs become increasingly difficult. The Global Impact Initiative, with the aid of its partners, are providing language assistance / ESL for Afghan adults who are resettling in the United States.
