How We Use Grants & Donations

Gii operates multiple program types, each funded differently:

Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR)-Funded

  • Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA)

  • Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA)

  • Refugee Support Services

These programs receive federal funding through the Office of Refugee Resettlement and are administered by Gii to qualifying refugee families. 100% of these funds go directly to client assistance and program delivery.

Discretionary Programs (Foundation & Individual Donors)

  • NextGen AI & STEM Education

  • Workplace Readiness & Employment Training

  • Women's Leadership & Entrepreneurship (Refugee Sewing Collective)

  • Mentorship (Youth & Professional Development)

  • Language & Academic Support (ESL, Tutoring)

  • International Teacher Training & Capacity Building

These programs are supported by grants from foundations, individual donors, and corporate partners. Funds support direct programming, staff, materials, and operational costs.

Cost Efficiency

Gii maintains a strong program-to-overhead ratio, with the majority of funding directly supporting services to refugees and underserved communities. For specific cost-per-outcome data, visit our latest Impact Report or contact our team.
